fun. Demonstration and hands-on. Complete a 16" x 20" or larger piece of
"bits and pieces" by the end of the day. Combine this workshop with "Piecing

Put FLESH ON OLD BONES by creatively re-reading your family letters and
documents. Take bits of family memories and stories and imagine the people
who were there. Feel their time and space. Create stories you want to tell
your family - and that they want to hear.
This workshop is a combination of genealogy and oral history. It offers new
ideas and approaches for family history researchers and for artists and
storytellers who are gathering ideas for their work. Some places Schoettler
has presented this workshop: Sandhills Community College, Pinehurst, NC,
Pyramid Atlantic, Beltsville, MD, Montgomery County Historical Society,
